Firm Overview

Our Core Principles
Our firm was founded in 1985 by attorney Ora Schwartzberg, who is also a certified family mediator and certified collaborative law attorney. We are a client-centered law firm that holds true to a few basic principles that we believe are vital to a healthy relationship between an attorney and a client:

  • •   Honest, open and ongoing communication
  • •   Sensitivity and respect
  • •   Availability
  • •   Cost-effectiveness and efficiency
  • These are principles that we apply to every mediation, collaborative law or litigated case we handle, whether it is a divorce, a custody dispute or the creation of a prenuptial agreement or estate plan.

Family is an anchor that provides stability for many people. When that anchor is dislodged by a divorce, it is easy to feel like you have been set adrift without a map or compass. The goal of our practice is to give you the direction you need. We can even assist you with unbundled legal services if you do not require an attorney for every part of your case.

Schwartzberg Law is unique to New Hampshire in that its focus is on family law. Unlike most law firms, we do not do everything. We know family law!

We assist families from all over the north country in New Hampshire, including the larger towns of Plymouth, Bristol, Ashland, Waterville Valley, Franconia, Lincoln, Littleton, and Lancaster. We are associated with various professionals who compliment our practice by providing auxiliary services for our clients, in conjunction with their family law case. We are associated with financial analysts/planners, appraisers, business valuators and psychologists.

Assistance Through All Family Issues in New Hampshire, and serving the towns of Plymouth, Bristol, Ashland, Waterville Valley, Franconia, Lincoln, Littleton, and Lancaster
The firm has extensive experience handling of complex high asset and difficult parenting cases, many of which have been and are presently being litigated in the New Hampshire Courts. Although serious attempts are always made to settle cases by negotiating with opposing counsel or in mediation, some cases cannot be equitably resolved, unless we go to court. Ironically our reputation for expertise in the courtroom is often an instrumental factor in bringing our adversaries to the table.
